Hi, I’m Mary Nelson. I appreciate your time today!
I live in MN with my husband, where we raised four children who have become amazing young adults.
I am enthusiastic with a mindset of service with excellence! My track record demonstrates this as a consistent, adaptable, and progress-focused problem-solver. As an Administrative Assistant, I had broad responsibilities for multiple managers while also in a role as a Kids Ministry Coordinator accountable for recruiting and managing a team, coordinating curriculum, scheduling, and managing payroll functions; I’ve been a Volunteer Specialist responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and monthly scheduling of 100+ volunteers. I enjoy serving others with keen attention to detail.
As your VA, together, we’ll identify administrative tasks I can take off your plate, allowing you more margin for the vision and growth of your business. I am self-motivated, accountable, and an effective communicator with strong organizational skills. I have skills in many arenas of data criteria tasks, lists, spreadsheets, generating reports, developing and maintaining tracking systems, drafting correspondence, managing emails, scheduling, and purchasing functions. I have experience identifying changes to existing administrative processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and quality of service. I am proficient in several technology platforms and continue to broaden my knowledge.
A recent recognition I received was a monetary award for “ Excellence “ for “The highest level of professionalism, going beyond the status quo, and being innovative and creative.”
In closing, in my personal time, I cherish my family; I’m a Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan and enjoy following professional tennis. I relish long walks and reading and treasure my Christian faith as the bedrock in my life.
